Benjamin Oldham, MD, FACOG
Dr. Benjamin T. Oldham was raised in central Kentucky, but eventually moved to Chattanooga, TN, where he attended High School at the McCallie School. He attended college at Davidson College in North Carolina, where he met his wife Beth (Toler). After
graduating from Davidson in 1983, Dr. Oldham attended the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where he was president of his medical class and graduated "with distinction" in 1988. Deciding to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology,
Dr. Oldham did an internship and residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO, which he completed in 1992. After serving in the United States Army for four years, three of them in Germany, Dr. Oldham and his family moved to Statesboro,
GA, in 2005 to join Ogeechee OB-GYN, where he currently practices. He and his wife Beth have three children, all of whom are (mostly) grown. His family attends Trinity Presbyterian Church, where he serves as a deacon.
At present, Dr. Oldham is Chief of Staff at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, having previously served as Chief of the Department of OB-GYN and President of East Georgia Physicians' Group. His primary interests in his specialty are minimally
invasive surgical procedures and ultrasonography. He enjoys being outdoors, working in his yard, taking long walks with Beth and golfing.
Chelsea Jones Mikell, M.D.
Chelsea Jones Mikell, M.D., is originally from Dahlonega, Georgia. Dr. Mikell graduated from The University of Georgia in 2010 as a First Honor Graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and minor in Anthropology. She
attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Following graduation from medical school in 2014, she moved to Charlotte, NC to complete residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Mikell is married to Scott Mikell from Statesboro, Georgia. Scott is also a physician, trained in Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. They have a two year old daughter, Helen Jean Mikell.
Shannon Hall, PA-C
Shannon Hall PA-C is a native of N orth Carolina who graduated college from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Kinesiology in 1998. Later that year, she moved to Statesboro to attend graduate school at Georgia Southern University where she obtained
a Masters of Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology in 2000. She continued on to PA school at South University, in Savannah, Georgia where she graduated with honors in 2002. Prior to joining Ogeechee OB/GYN, her previous
clinical experience includes orthopedics, internal medicine, and 11 years of women's healthcare.
Shannon is married to Brian Hall from Statesboro, Georgia. Together, they have two adventurous boys. Shannon enjoys watching her sons play tennis, hiking, exploring waterfalls, and reading.
Tressa G. Cheney, FNP
Tressa joined Ogeechee OBGYN in August of 2008. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Georgia Southern University in 1999 where she was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. After working as a Labor and Delivery nurse
for three years, Tressa returned to Georgia Southern University to pursue a master's degree in nursing. In 2005, she graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgia Southern, and was board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center. After graduation, Tressa worked for Georgia Southern University in the Rural Nursing Outreach Program before joining Ogeechee OBGYN. She continues to work part-time as a Labor and Delivery nurse. Born and raised in Metter, Tressa currently
lives with her husband and two children in Pulaski.
Nikiya L. Lewis, DNP
Nikiya joined Ogeechee OBGYN in 2011. Nikiya completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Georgia Southern University in 2011. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming a Nurse
Practitioner, Nikiya worked as a Mother-Baby nurse and as a Clinical Instructor for a University. Nikiya is a native of Alamo, GA, and has resided in Statesboro for the past 11 years with her son, Brayden. She enjoys traveling, exercising, and
spending time with her friends and family. She is an active member of the Statesboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Nikiya's primary interests include adolescent health, contraceptive counseling, STD prevention and screening,
well-woman exams, and specialized in-office testing.
